What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation, is a type of cosmetic tattoo and we use modern techniques, whether it’s for your eyebrows, eyeliner, or your lips to permanently implant pigment into your skin.
Permanent makeup is most commonly used on the face, but it can also be used on other parts of the body such as the scalp or areola. Clients who refer to permanent makeup often feel more confident and may look more youthful as permanent makeup can enhance your natural beauty.
What does permanent makeup do?
Permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation can permanently enhance your natural beauty and can instantly change your appearance with the smallest changes.
For instance, just by changing the tail of your eyebrow, or adding a small wing to your eyeliner, permanent makeup will give you the illusion of having bigger eyes. Do you have hyperpigmented lips? We can add a warm pigment to give you healthy, vibrant looking lips.
Permanent makeup is not only a great alternative for clients who are looking for low maintenance, but is also a great way to boost your self-confidence!
Why might you want permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is a great option for clients who are looking to save time when it comes down to your daily routine, or for those who may have trouble applying makeup in general!
As a client myself, I wish I would have gotten my cosmetic tattoo done a LOT sooner. Having to juggle two kids and a full time job, it is super convenient to walk out the door with my eyebrows and lip makeup on all the time.
Even when I’m on vacation, I don’t have to worry about my makeup coming off or getting smudged in the water! Hot, humid summer days? Forget about it. I’m so thankful my makeup isn’t melting off from the sun.
There are several reasons why you might want to consider permanent makeup, but I can assure you that permanent makeup will save you loads of time, energy and so much more!
How does permanent makeup work?
Permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation, is a cosmetic tattoo procedure where our PMU (permanent makeup) artist will use a pmu machine or a manual tool to apply modern techniques to deposit reputable pigments into the skin.
This procedure is permanent, however the pigments will fade over time. We cannot give an exact estimate of the longevity of your permanent makeup tattoos since everyone’s immune system responds differently but on average it will last ~12 months. Additionally, your daily skin regime, as well as activities, will play a big factor.
Permanent makeup is a two - step process and the final look will be after the 4-6 week touch up, after the initial/first procedure. Even after the 4-6 week touch up, minimal maintenance may be required depending on your body chemistry.
